Baby loss awareness week 2021 - Introduction to Numi Scan North London's Franchise.

Wave of light 2021

Okay, a little about me. I am the director of the Numi Scan North London Franchise. This is my first blog. So, please bear with! I never choose the easy route. So here I am, writing my first blog on a subject many people REALLY struggle to speak about.

I had researched "how to write a blog". The information I found informed me to "show your personality, don't tell it." So I hope from this blog the readers will learn a little about my personality, without me having to "tell it".

What is baby loss awareness week?

Baby Loss Awareness Week is held annually from 9 to 15 October. It's a special opportunity to mark the lives of babies lost in pregnancy or at or soon after birth.

Here at Numi Scan, outstanding patient care is our priority. We really strive to uphold this day in, day out.

We are here to celebrate with you, when you hear your baby's heart beat for the first time during an early pregnancy scan.

We are here to celebrate with you when you find out if your baby is a boy or a girl during your gender scans.

We are here to support you when you need us during your reassurance scans.

When you want to run some extra tests, we will be here. The harmony test offers patients that extra information they desire about their unborn baby while being non invasive.

We will smile along with you and your family when you are having your well-being scan.

You'd definitely expect us to be there for all of the above, right?

Well, we are also here for the harder times that many people struggle to talk about.

When you when you've had cramps and haven't been able to sleep because of worry.

When you have had some spotting or bleeding.

When you are suffering from a familiar feeling after having a miscarriage before...

Our sonographers and staff will give you that comfort and compassion you may need when you hear the words no expectant parent wants to hear.
We are here for you, when times are hard.

At Numi Scan we will always allow you to have the prints from your scan if you have sadly had bad news.

Sadly, some babies are lost during pregnancy, birth, or shortly afterwards.

We will always signpost you in the right direction for the support you may need.

If you're worried that you or your partner are struggling to cope after losing a baby, please talk to your GP. They will be able to help you get the support you may need. I have attached some supportive charity's at the bottom of this blog.

Numi Scan North London will be participating in the "Wave of Light 2021" and lighting a candle for all the lost babies.

Baby Loss Awareness Week culminates with the global "Wave of Light" on 15th October, which is also a globally recognised event.

We invite you to join other families across the world by lighting a candle at 7pm on the 15th October.

I'd like to take this opportunity to invite our bold readers to this virtually by simply taking a photo of your candle and commenting it under ours on our social media "Numi Scan North London". Using the #waveoflight to join nationally along with 'Baby Loss Awareness'.

I look forward to seeing everyone's wave of light on the 15th October.

I also look forward to writing more blogs for our website and getting to know our patients, families, readers better via my improving blogging skills!

I hope my personality in this blog has shown, that here at Numi Scan North London. Outstanding Patient CARE. Is really our priority. We will always care in many ways for our patients.
